Scalarworks Leap 34MM Scope Mount - 1.93 Inch Height
The ultra high performance Scalarworks Leap 34MM Scope Mount was designed from the ground up to be lighter, lower profile, and easier to use than traditional split rings. The SW0920 is designed for shooters who want the lightest, most rigid, easiest to use, and least obtrusive quick detach scope mount possible at a 1.93 inch height (no co witness) over the rail.
The Leap includes Scalarwork's proprietary leveling screw to help you conveniently square your scope with your mount. Engineered to be the lightest QD scope mount, without compromising an ounce of strength. The LEAP / Scope incorporates two of the most efficient structures known to man. A tubular boom and an I beam bridge, each with over sized cross sections to maximize rigidity and impact resistance while minimizing weight.
Every Leap Mount is CNC milled from 7075 T6 billet, which has vastly superior mechanical properties to 6061 T6, and is used where ultimate strength and durability outweigh cost considerations. A high strength, precision fitted hinge ensures even pressure around your optic, without requiring the tedious and imprecise setup that traditional rings do.
Twin oversize CNC machined shoulder screws provide even tension and act as structural elements, making the entire ring assembly phenomenally rigid. Each side of the ring is carefully lightened with a curvature continuous scallop that produces a very high strength to weight ratio. The ring is wider than competing designs, providing more surface area to safely and securely hold your optic.
The Scalarworks Quick Detach mechanism is completely recoil proof, while requiring only enough torque to firmly clamp onto a picatinny rail. By decoupling torque from vibration resistance, the QD mechanism is intuitive, fast, and self adjusting, all without needing an imprecise knob or obtrusive lever to keep it from shaking loose. The low profile recessed thumbwheel deflects external impacts, while letting you take the mount off in seconds, with or without gloves.
Narrower than most bolt on mounts, the Leap has no protruding levers or knobs to rap your knuckles, or get caught on clothing, gear, and surroundings.
